Sublime PSG Get The Better Of Aston Villa : UEFA CL

PSG Beat Aston Villa

PSG Host Aston Villa In Paris

The 1st leg of the UEFA Champions League Quarter-Final clash between Paris St Germain (PSG) and Aston Villa was held at the Parc des Princes Stadium in Paris last night, with the hosts being the favourites to get past Aston Villa.

The French Side In Terrific Form

PSG have been in terrific form this season in all competitions and probably playing their finest football with a team stuffed with some outrageous young talent, and no wonder the same was on display in Paris.

Aston Villa Score Against The Run Of Play

Aston Villa were not to be taken easily, and drew first blood against the run of play. A quick counter, a couple of good passes, a fine cross, and the coolest of finishes from Morgan Rogers in the 35th minute. The crowd was stunned as Prince William jumped with joy in the stands.

Desire Doue’s Staggering Stunner

The script, however, had to change, so good were PSG players and Villa’s lead did not last even 4 minutes, as 19-year old Desire Doue, one of the brightest young talents emerging in football, produced a sensational strike from well outside the box to beat Martinez (one of the best goalkeepers in the world). It was a jaw-dropping effort as the ripper from Doue entered Villa’s net. The scores were levelled.

Kvaratskhelia’s Magnificent Strike

Five Minutes into the second half, PSG’s Georgian Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, another outstanding young talent scored an exhilarating goal from a tight angle and though Martinez had covered the post, the ball had so much power that it flew through the space available with Martinez not able to lay his hands on it, such was the quality of the shot.

Nuno Mendes Completes The Win for PSG

Nuno Mendes, the 22 year old Portuguese forward made it 3-1 for PSG after a brilliant pass from Dembele and an equally brilliant finish from Mendes.

Sublime PSG Too Good For Villa

PSG with three sensational strikes and an audaciously sublime football were too good for Villa, who will have a tough ask in the 2nd leg at Villa Park in Birmingham, to turn this around in their favour.
