Mo Salah Leads Egypt

Mo Salah led Egypt squared up against Ethiopia in a World Cup Qualifier Group A League Game at the Stade El Arbi Zaouli in Casablanca, Morocco.

A Measured Performance From Egypt

Egypt already at the top of the table did no harm to their chances of qualification to the FIFA World Cup in 2026 with a measured but assured performance against Ethiopia.

Salah Leads A Starry Line-up

The North Africans were boosted by the presence of Mo Salah who did not disappoint. The lineup also included Omar Marmoush who has been making waves in Europe and is slowly turning into a star player for Manchester City.

A Cool Salah Scores…

With a star-studded field, the Egyptians were too good for Ethiopia who struggled to keep them at bay, and eventually in the 31st minute, central midfielder Ahmed Sayed, popularly known as Zizo produced a brilliant pass for Salah which cut open the Ethiopian defense. Salah made no mistake, collected the ball, and ensured an easy cool finish.

Salah returned the favour 9 minutes later. The  Egyptian King, set up Zizo with a lovely pass, who shot home from close range. Egypt were two goals ahead in the first half. The second half also belonged to the Egyptians, though they were unlucky not to score.

Sierra Leone Next Up For Egypt In Cairo

In the end, Egypt earned a well deserved win and shall be taking on Sierra Leone in Cairo tomorrow night, where again they would be favourites.
