Al Nassr Stamp Their Authority
Cristiano Ronaldo led Al Nassr stamped their supremacy over Al Kholood in an important contest between the two sides at the Al Awwal Park in Riyadh. Al Nassr had slipped to 5th on the Saudi Pro League leaderboard and had to win to stay in the title race.
Cristiano Ronaldo, The Unstoppable
Al Kholood the club from Ar Rass were jolted early by a fine Cristiano Ronaldo goal in the 4th minute. A quick move from the left saw Jhon Duran take a shot on the Al Kholood goal. The ricochet from the keeper fell in Ronaldo’s way. The legend was not going to miss it and completed a fine finish.
Ronaldo Sets Up Sadio Mane’s Goal
Cristiano Ronaldo was at it again just 22 minutes later. He set up Al Najdi with a superb pass on the left flank. The 22 year old defender made a fine run and played a pin point cross to a rushing Sadio Mane in the centre of the Al Kholood box. Mane with his first touch shot the ball into goal completing a tremendous finish.
Duran’s Blossom Career
Jhon Duran, the young Columbian, who has made a tremendous start to his career in the Saudi league scored with a brilliant strike in the 41st minute. Al Nassr were already ahead by 3 goals in the first half itself and the contest was more or less settled.
Al Kholood Get One Back
Al Kholood, got one back in the 72nd minute when a good Jackson Muleka strike deflected off Alawjami , beating a diving Bento to his right. Boushal for Al Nassr was unfortunately red-carded in the game.
Al Nassr Move to 3rd on the Leaderboard
Al Nassr collected 3 points while Al Qadisiyah lost to Damac by a solitary goal, allowing Al Nassr to leapfrog into 3rd place in the league.
Ronaldo At The Helm
Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 19th goal of the competition to lead the goal-scoring chart this season. What a player !!
