The Al-Awwal Park in Riyadh Saudi Arabia was the venue for Match Day 7 of the AFC Champions League Elite Group B match between the hosts Al-Nassr and the visitors from the UAE, Al-Wasl. All eyes were on Cristiano Ronaldo and his new partner in crime, recently transferred from Aston Villa, 21-yr old Columbian, Jhon Duran.
Ali Alhassan’s Bullet Puts Al-Nassr Ahead
The spotlight, however was momentarily stolen by Ali Alhassan, when he unleashed a bullet of a strike from well outside the box to put Al-Nassr ahead. The right-footer was struck so powerfully that the Al-Wasl Goalkeeper had no chance of cutting it off.
Ronaldo In Peak Touch
Ronaldo completed yet another penalty kick with embarrassing ease just before half time and then again in the 78th minute headed a fine cross from Sadio Mane into the Al-Wasl goal. On the verge of 40 now, Ronaldo, looked in peak touch and fitness with his never ever dying zeal for goals.
Al-Fatil Completes Formalities
Al-Nassr eventually completed the formalities with their 4th goal when Mohammed Al-Fatil headed home from the back of the head and a bit of shoulder, to give Al-Nassr a comfortable victory over the Emirati Club.
