Manchester City Hit Ipswich For A Six

Manchester City Beat Ipswich by 6 goals

A Resurgent Manchester City ?

Is a resurgence happening at Manchester City or is it just a flash in the pan. This is the question in everyone’s mind, as City demolished a hapless Ipswich Team 6-0 at Portman Road, home to the Tractor Boys from Suffolk, Ipswich.

A Troubled Ipswich Town

Ipswich Town already facing a possible relegation and having won just 3 games this season looked totally out of sync as they hosted the defending champions.

Phil Foden Leads The Charge At City

Phil Foden has come to life in the last few games which has to be the headlines for City. He once again chipped in with a brace and more importantly opened the scoring for City. Doku, Haaland, Kovacic and the young City prodigy McAtee made hay under dark skies and helped themselves to a goal each, making it 6 for the evening.

Jeremy Doku, The Most Impressive

I was most impressed by the energetic, enterprising and swift Jeremy Doku. The more I see the Belgian forward the more I get impressed with him. He virtually bossed around the left flank and peppered the Ipswich defence with his speed and power.

Pressure Off Erling Haaland

Phil Foden scoring with consistency has ina way taken the pressure off Erling Haaland and City. With others like Doku, McAtee etc also  on the scoring sheet, makes good news for the struggling Champions. They looked much better as a team and even the defence played good, solid football . The zeal to score and score big was thoroughly visible.  The team looked happier than before. The camaraderie was for all to see.

Much Relief For Pep

City have won 3 of their last 5 games and  haven’t lost in this period, is a reflection of resurgence happening for the beleaguered side as they moved to the 5th position on the EPL table. Much relief for Pep Guardiola.

Tough Times For Ipswich

It was a bad day for Ipswich as they were completely annihilated by a much superior side and find themselves in the 18th position. They are  slated to travel to Anfield to face Liverpool this Saturday. What a tough test that is going to be.

Down But Not Out

Match Day 22 was as remarkable in the EPL as it could be. Just watch out for Manchester City, they are ‘down but not out’.
