Manchester City Lose Points To A Late Sting From Brentford

Manchester City Lopse Points Against Brentford

Manchester City Halted At Brentford

Manchester City ‘s little winning streak was halted by the Bees in some dramatic fashion as Brentford forced a draw at the Gtech Community Stadium in London last night in an exciting mid-week duel on Match Day 21 in the English Premier League.

The City Slide

City, the Defending Champions known for their tenacity and their ability to be ruthless once ahead in the game, have surprisingly slid from positions of strength and have surrendered advantage. Last evening was no different as the somewhat ailing City let the Bees get back into the game.

Phil Foden Comes To The Fore

After a goalless first half, Phil Foden came to life and scored a brace to put City in a commanding position. A brilliant centre from Kevin de Bruyne was met with a brilliant sublime touch from Foden in the 66th minute. 12 minutes later a block of Savinho’s strike fell in Foden’s way and he scored. City were sitting pretty with a two goal lead. But they faltered in the last 15 minutes.

City Blow Away Lead As The Bees Sting Late

Brentford kept on testing the City defense and had come close to scoring a couple of times but missed. However, the hard work eventually paid off. Yissa scored in the 82nd minute and again Norgaard got the equaliser in stoppage time. Manchester City were stung by the bees. Victory was in sight but was blown away.

There is Something Amiss

It was more like a loss than a draw for City. A victory away to Brentford would have bolstered City’s confidence. But there is something amiss with the Champions.
