The Hammers Hammered
It was Match Day 19 in the English Premier League, with League leaders Liverpool travelling to London Stadium for a year end battle with West Ham last night. The Hammers were ready to take on red hot Liverpool. However, the Hammers were hammered instead.
Dominant Liverpool
They scored 5 times and conceded none in a tremendous display of attacking football. With 13 shots on target and 55% possession, the Reds dominated proceedings and left no scope for the hosts to get into any sort of rhythm.

The Anfield Stars & Their Sublime Scoring Ability
Luiz Diaz, Cody Gakpo, Mo Salah, Trent Alexander Arnold and Diogo Jota all scored for Liverpool. It was an exhibition of Liverpool’s scoring ability and how good the team has been with creating opportunities.
Sterling Salah
Mo Salah again put in a sterling performance scoring his 17th goal in 18 games. With two more assists his tally reached 13. The Egyptian has stamped his signature on 30 goals out of a total of 45 goals scored by Liverpool this EPL season. It has been one incredible year for Salah.
No Chance For Hammers
West Ham did not have many chances and hardly troubled Alisson Becker who twice was helped by the crossbar. M Kudus came close to scoring twice but could not get through. It is just that the visitors were too good for the Hammers and there was nothing much they could do, despite Areola’s brilliant display in front of goal.
Liverpool-The Team of 2024
Arne Slot’s rampaging 5-star Liverpool has been the team of the year and will be difficult to dislodge from their perch.
