A Great Servant Of Indian Cricket
A great servant of Indian cricket, R Ashwin would be remembered not only for his statistics of 106 test matches, 537 wickets ( second only to Anil Kumble ), 37 Five wicket hauls ( only behind Muralidharan) , 11 times Player of the Series awards and 3503 runs with the bat, but more so for his impact on the game and his unwavering commitment to his team and country. He never missed a game in India, speaks volumes about the kind of cricketer he was.
There have been so many instances where Ashwin put his hand up and saved the day for his country.
