Manchester City vs Juventus : A Battle Of The Beleaguered

Manchester City vs Juventus tonight

A Big Battle In Turin

Two Giants of European Football and both at the crossroads, meandering through a crisis, desperately wanting to set things right. For both Manchester City and Juventus, the Champions League duel coming up tonight would have been best avoided at this juncture, but that was not to be. A must win game for both, one hell of a  battle in the offing.

A Slipping Manchester City

With just 1 win in 9 games in all competitions, Manchester City had never had it so bad under Pep Guardiola. The Champion side in 4th position in the English Premier League and with title hopes slowly slipping away, would be trying their best to get their Champions League campaign on track before they meet Manchester United this weekend.

Juventus – A Handful For City

In the Champions League City’s last two matches have not gone their way. A 1-4 embarrassing loss to Sporting and then a 3-3 draw with Feyenoord after leading by 3 goals sums up the current lackluster form of blues. Currently in 20th position in the Champions League table City would be looking to make a strong move upwards. With Phil Foden fit to start, City would be hoping for some serious collaboration between Foden and Haaland. However, the defence is a concern and unless and until it stands strong, Juventus would be a handful for City tonight.

A String Of Draws For Juventus

Juventus are not having a great time either. Despite not losing a single game in the Serie A this season, the Italian power house find themselves in 6th position after playing out 9 draws in 15 games. Their previous two  matches in the Champions League also have been draws. A 1-1 against LOSC and a 0-0 draw against Aston Villa, which has pushed them to the 22nd position in the Champions League Table. With Dusan Vlahovic in good scoring form Juventus would be focussing to carve out a win eventually.

All To Play For At The Allianz Stadium

The Allianz Stadium in Turin, home to Juventus would be an advantage to the home side against Manchester City. However considering the form the two teams are, another draw may well  be on the cards.
