Just…Cut The Crap

The MG Comet EV advertisement is doing the rounds  and you come across this slick advert several times while watching the IPL Games these days. IPL has massive viewership and MG, strategically have picked up the perfect slot to announce its Small Electric Car, the “MG Comet EV “.

The car with its uncoventional   styling, looks attractive and has the  ability to hold attention of the viewer, though it leaves me a bit confused with regards to the
target audience, the Gen Z ( young children, still studying, how will they buy the car puzzles me, unless they pester their parents ).My reservations apart, what has captured my imagination is the “ Cut the Crap “ punchline of the Ad, which many consider as an ill-mannered slang, has left me thinking and if we take a dispassionate view of this slang, there is quite a lesson in it.

Moving from the MG Comet Advertisement, lets apply this ‘ Cut the Crap ‘ in our lives and it will have some far reaching ramifications. To achieve success in whatever you do, both as an individual and as a team, it is imperative to stay focussed. And to stay focussed you ought to ‘ Cut the Crap ‘. The degree of our success shall be directly proportional to how quickly and to what extent we are able to ‘ Cut the Crap ‘.

There is always lot of noise outside and most  of it may just be crap. There would be many  trying to discourage you, trying to bring you down, trying to run down your self worth, trying to misguide you, trying to lead you to the wrong path, trying to malign you, only to get you off your focus. However, instead of listening to this noise, its best to just insulate yourself from it. It is just crap and the best way to deal with it, is to  Cut it for good.

Many are unable to do it and suffer, but ‘ Cut the Crap ‘ is the ‘ in thing ‘ and it will always be better to make it an important part of our repertoire, to keep our focus on the good things going.
