The UEFA Champions League 2026-27 is in full swing, and Indian fans can watch every match on television and online. Here is where to watch, the key dates and what time games start in India.
Where to watch the Champions League in India
Sony Sports Network is the broadcaster in India, with matches shown on its TV channels. Live streaming is available on the SonyLIV app and website. UEFA lists Sony as its broadcast partner for the Indian subcontinent.
Do you need a subscription?
Yes. There is no free live streaming of the Champions League in India, so you need a SonyLIV subscription that includes live sports, or a TV package with the Sony Sports channels. Check the current plans in the app, because pricing changes.
Key dates for 2026-27
The league phase runs from 8 September 2026 to 27 January 2027. The final is on 5 June 2027 at the Estadio Metropolitano in Madrid. In between come the knockout play-offs and the round of 16. Our guide to the Champions League format explains how the new league phase works.
Kick-off times in India
Matches on European matchdays usually start at two times. The early kick-off is around 10:15 pm IST, and the late kick-off is around 12:30 am IST the next day. Always confirm the exact time for each fixture on the official UEFA website, since times can change.
Other UEFA competitions
Sony also holds the rights to the Europa League and Conference League for the 2026-27 season. Both are available on the same platform, so a single subscription gives access to all three competitions.
Tips for matchday
Log in to SonyLIV before kick-off to check your subscription, and use the app’s reminders for your favourite clubs. If you cannot stay up for the late game, highlights and replays are available after the match.
What to follow
With every round of the league phase affecting the table, keep an eye on goal difference and results from rival clubs. A single result late in the phase can decide who goes straight to the last 16.
