Jurgen Klopp & His Two German Squads
German Head Coach Jurgen Klopp has announced two national squads, totalling 44 players, for the opening four fixtures of the UEFA Nations League. Klopp will manage the team for the first time since taking over from Julian Nagelsmann after a disappointing World Cup in North America this year.
Bayern Munich Dominates Selection
Bayern Munich emerge as the club team with the most representation, with no less than nine separate call-ups, but the rest of the Bundesliga receives its fair share of representation.
The Squads
The full list of call-ups is broken into two squads. Squad 1 will play against Netherlands and Greece, while Squad 2 will play against Serbia and the return game vs Greece. Here are all the names, broken down by their listed positions (per the official announcement):

The Players To Assemble on Monday
The players convene on Monday in Herzogenaurach before travelling to Amsterdam to face the Netherlands on September 24. Germany will host Greece in Augsburg three days later, Serbia in Munich on October 1 and Greece again in Thessaloniki on October 4.

Squad Analysis
The Squad 1 appears to be Klopp’s A squad which in no uncertain terms will form the core of Germany’s National Team. The squad features players with International experience having worn the German badge in several games. However, the exclusion of Deniz Undav, Leroy Sane and goalkeeper Oliver Baumann is a clear indication that Klopp has for the moment moved away from these players. Jamal Musiala, Kai Havertz and Joshua Kimmich are the noticeable inclusions.
The Squad 2 is an experiment to test the young talent emerging in Germany and whether they have the calibre to carry German Football forward. Karim Adeyemi returns to the squad which also features Nick Woltemade, who has been given another chance in the national team. Said El Mala from Cologne and Felix Keidel from Elversberg have also found a place in the team.
