A Gem in the 17th Minute
The first one came in the 17th minute despite Algeria crowding their defence to deny Argentina. The great man from outside the edge of the box found that little space and unleashed a powerful left-footer, which swirled enough to beat the goalkeeper to his left. It was indeed a sensational strike.
An Easier One in the 60th
The second goal in the 60th minute was a fairly simple one with Messi in the right position at the right time to tap in on the rebound.
A Messi Special For The Hat Trick in the 76th
The third one, 16 minutes later, was once again a gem from the talisman. This time again Messi found a bit of space to his left and struck a low shot with such power and precision that Luca Zidane in goal for Algeria had just no chance. This time, the ball travelled to his right through a crowded Algerian box.
A Sublime, Flawless, Incredible Messi & A Hapless Algeria
Messi was sublime with his shot-making, timing and flawless finishing. It was an incredible exhibition of top-notch goal scoring. Algeria did try their best. Blocked Argentina, tried to keep spaces tight, but a man’s brilliance just brought everything down.
Unbelievable Messi!!
