With Title In Sight, It Is Crunch Time For Al-Nassr

Al-Nassr

It has been 7 years since Al-Nassr lifted the Saudi Pro League ( now known as Roshn Saudi League) and have been devoid of a title since the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo. The fans have been pressing and praying for the Knights of Najd, and no wonder this season the Riyadh-based club is closer than ever to the crown.

With a record 14 consecutive wins in the league, Al-Nassr under Jorge Jesus appear hungry enough to go all the way, and with a healthy 5- point lead over Al-Hilal, the title is well within grasp. However, the remaining 6 games will eventually decide Al- Nassr’s fate as they enter the make-or-break phase of their campaign.

Al-Nassr will be welcoming Al-Ettifaq tomorrow at the Al-Awwal Park, followed by 3  big games. The Knights play Al-Ahli on 28th April, Al-Qadsiyah on the 2nd of May and probably the title decider with Al-Hilal on the 7th of May. If Al-Nassr win all four, they would be crowned champions with two games to spare. Al-Shabab and Damac will complete Al-Nassr’s campaign for the season.

The challenge is to ensure that there are no slip-ups in the next 4 games. Jorge Jesus has a big task at hand to prepare his team both physically and mentally to withstand the enormous pressure of this final lap.

The team has played incredibly well so far with Ronaldo, Joao Felix, Sadio Mane and Kingsley Coman, coordinating brilliantly. This needs to be carried on unabated. A recipe which Al-Nassr just cannot afford to dilute.

The Moment of Truth is arriving for Al-Nassr.
