The Bundesliga 25/26, the 63rd season, began at the Allianz Arena in Munich, with defending Champions Bayern taking on RB Leipzig yesterday evening. The Stadium looked resplendent with lots of light and red glitter as the Fans eagerly awaited to see their stars in action once again.
Bayern, one of the most formidable teams in Europe and easily the most dominant in Germany, began from where they had left off last season. The Champions decimated Leipzig with some sensational football. The goal scoring was not only classy, but had skill, confidence, and authority written all over it. The visitors appeared hapless spectators as the mighty Bavarians went on the rampage and emerged 6-0 winners.
The roof of the Allianz Arena almost came down as frenzied fans jumped up and down seeing their team in audacious form. The noise was deafening as a rapturous audience yelled at every goal.
The extremely talented and one of the best young players in the world, Michael Olise opened the floodgates with a terrific right-footer. Luis Diaz followed up with another brilliant strike, signalling his presence for Bayern, before Olise added another before half-time. Bayern were leading 3-0 at the break, and once the second half started, it was all Bayern and all Harry Kane.
Kane is in no mood to curtail his scoring prowess and what he displayed last night, Bayern may just win another Bundesliga title. Harry Kane scored thrice in the second half. All three goals were precision, placement, and power personified. Such is the quality of Harry Kane, and since his arrival in Germany, it was his 8th hat-trick. A monumental number indeed.
Leipzig were completely annihilated, and to add salt to their wounds, they were disallowed a goal too.
Bayern have made a ferocious statement, and it will take a mammoth effort from the other teams to create any dent in Bayern’s formidable repertoire.
