Manchester United will host arch rivals Arsenal at Old Trafford in a few hours from now as Rubin Amorim’s side prepares to launch itself in the new season with a convincing performance.
It is going to be a big test upfront for Manchester United, who would be playing with a fairly new mix, having shed some old stuff after one of their worst seasons in EPL history in 24/25.
The pressure will be massive, but at the same time, a good performance and a win will give United a terrific boost going forward. A lot would be expected of Mbeumo and Sesko, along with Amad Diallo, to get United over the line. But a lot depends on the senior pros Bruno Fernandes and Mason Mount to deliver for United.
Arsenal would not be pushovers either and will start as favourites for the tie. They had a great season last time around and should be a handful for United’s defence. The Gunners, boasting of some exceptional talent in Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice, Martinelli, and Odegaard, will be tough to beat.
There is all to play for as the heart is with United ,but the mind says Arsenal.
