It was an anti-climax to the Ladies Singles Final. The much anticipated contest was reduced to a damp squib as Iga Swiatek raced away winning 12 games in a row against Amanda Anisimova, who just never arrived. It was hard to believe that the American had beaten Aryna Sabalenka, the World No. 1,a couple of days ago. Anisimova was blown away by Swiatek, the Polish Champion winning her first Wimbledon crown by an unprecedented scoreline 6-0, 6-0.
